Oil on my ford focus clutch pedal, what the hell?
it could be hydraulic fluid from the clutch actuator assembly. go under the dash and look above the clutch pedal if you see a dark cylinder that is directly above that pedal and it is wet, then the clutch master cylinder is leaking. this will not effect anything until you run out of fluid. Oil on my ford focus clutch pedal, what the hell?
if you have a hydraulic clutch its coming from the clutch master cylinder just above the pedal. could also be brake fluid from the brake master cyl next to it. get on all fours and peek at the leak. also open the hood and check brake fluid level and clutch resevoir level. this may give you a clue which one is leaking.
well, the clutch pedal is only connected to the clutch master cylinder.. so i suspect its leaking past the seal.. and oil only travels downhill.
get it looked at or youll lose your clutch (activation) and itll crunch into gear... eventually it will no longer disengage the engine...
Hydraulic fluid from the clutch master cylinder. Get a mechanic to check, but I'll bet that is what it is. If you need to change it, best for a mechanic to do that as well, as the steering column needs to be disconnected.
As you've probably guessed, it'll be the fluid from your clutch. It'll probably be an 'o' ring. Shouldn't cost too much to replace.
clutch master cylinder is leaking they cost around 拢50 from fords.
