Having problems with the oil pressure gauge in 2000 prelude?

i had it connected through the oil sending unit through the oil filter adapter that i bought specifically for the car ,,, 1st it's still leaking oil while didn't have the problem prior to installing that adapter... 2nd when i first connected it , it was working fine then the gauge started fluctuating and stoped working only while the car is idle (without hitting the gas),, but when step on the gas the gauge pressure goes to normal and starts working fine .. and i think that happens when the car has been running for a while after heating up ...Having problems with the oil pressure gauge in 2000 prelude?
Is it leaking from your oil filter?? If you have a leak it is not going to read accurate because you Are losing pressure. If it leaking where you put the adapter i recommend getting your money back or try to clean the area and re-install it. GoodluckHaving problems with the oil pressure gauge in 2000 prelude?
The sending unit is crappy quality, and its not picking up the min oil pressure you have at idle. Also most adapter units leak unless high quality. Is this going to an oil cooler??? Is that why you have the adapter in the first place? You can try reinstalling it with new seals but the sending unit needs to be replaced, or the connection needs to be cleaned to get it to work right.
