How would you solve the gas (oil prices) problems facing the counrty now?

expand domestic production, we are sitting on oceans of oil there for the taking. this whole global warming myth is doing way more harm to the world than good. using food for fuel is driving up food prices world wide and is having no effect on gas prices...How would you solve the gas (oil prices) problems facing the counrty now?
There are three ways to solve this:

1. Lower gas consumption, or

2. Drill for more inland/offshore oil until an alternative can be found and move away from foreign dependency, or

3. Reduce energy dependence by using alternate means of producing energy.

Or do all three.

The US cannot stop the rise of global consumption which is the biggest factor in the rising cost of oil, we can only change what we do.How would you solve the gas (oil prices) problems facing the counrty now?
I wouldn't or couldn't.,the problem for us is that there is not enough resources to support our lifestyles,a lot of people will die and those that don't will be reduced to a lifestyle of which we consider 3rd world.
well you have to cut consumption...and the only way to do that is to increase the price to a point that causes consumers to drive less....forget about reducing prices.....
Stop importing oil from the middle east and Venezuela and hoard the oil taken from our land for ourselves.
There is no good answer right now. Hopefully when this 4 year run for president is over they will get down to business.
Strengthen the economy to curb inflation and get all hummers off the road.
I would take the oil we won in Iraq and sell it for ten cents a gallon here.
