''examine the dependency factor on oil problems in the middles east?

pls help me with this question,it is my project question.happy new year everybody out there.''examine the dependency factor on oil problems in the middles east?
the US is dependent on oil. then, it creates allies with the arabs, then simultaneously it creates allies with Israel, then somehow conflict breaks out. but that's not really the point. it's more important to examine the religions.''examine the dependency factor on oil problems in the middles east?
Much of the world recieves its oil from the Middle East, which incase you hadn't noticed, is in great conflict. This creates a double-edged sword wherein we are dependent on an international commodity that is primarily provided by some not too friendly people..
The world is running out of oil Fast! Huge industrialist countries like America are dependant on oil. This is why America is so desperate to ';create'; stability in the middle east. Countries in the middle east have huge oil reserves. If they didn't George Bush wouldn't bother with them.

Hence, the war of terror, umm sorry the war on terror.
I'm not sure what the dependency factor is referring to.

Here's how I would answer it.

1. U.S. consumes a lot of oil. 40% of the its energy comes from oil.

2. Although the Middle East's influence is lessening, the U.S still depends on the middle east for Oil. Read the wikipedia article on OPEC (group of Middle East Oil powers...see link below).

3. OPEC influences U.S policy because of this. When deciding what to do, the U.S. has to factor in its need for oil. The U.S. probably wouldn't have the same relationship with Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations if not for oil.

My Mechanic advised me to replace my Water Pump to help fix and oil leak, are these related problems?

WITHOUT THE YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL IT IS DIFFICULT TO ANSWER BUT IN MOST CASES THE ANSWER WOULD BE NO.My Mechanic advised me to replace my Water Pump to help fix and oil leak, are these related problems?
Year, make and model of car? Doubtful...oil passages in the block are not connected to the water passages for the water pump...I'd get a second opinion. My Mechanic advised me to replace my Water Pump to help fix and oil leak, are these related problems?
What kind of car and engine? I've never seen an engine where the coolant systems and the oil passages have anything to do with each other like that. Sounds kinda fishy to me.
Water pump keeps water flowin throught engine to keep it cool, maybe oil leak is due to engine overheating?? some times a little oil gets into water jacket too?? a causes a leak??
no

In the oil and gas business, what unresolved image analysis problems could lead to a breakthrough?

I am interested in issues directly related to the oil and gas exploration and production. Of course, the first task is to identify which problems need to be solved. I will be more than happy if I get specific answers about issues that affect the oil business and that are yet to be solved. In the oil and gas business, what unresolved image analysis problems could lead to a breakthrough?
A major tool in exploration is images made from the reflections of sound waves from surface explosions. Analysis of these images is what helps explorers figure out the existence and location of oil and gas reserves. Any improvement in the image processing and pattern recognition would help reveal overlooked sources and deeper sources, and would reduce the waste of drilling to a false image.

On the production side, refining crude oil into its various products safely and efficiently is a set of extremely complex and sensitive chemical processes. Some really good visualization of these processes could help run an individual refinery smoothly, efficiently, and safely, and could also help reveal parts of the process which could be improved. The human brain has tremendous pattern recognition capability with data presented to it visually.

As an industry outsider, that's all I know.

What problems are cause when middle easterners use oil weapons to offend the usa?

';we need to make it harder for middle easterners to use oil weapon and take steps to protect ourselves( american people) if it is used'; (columnist robert samuelson)

what does that mean? i dont understandWhat problems are cause when middle easterners use oil weapons to offend the usa?
It means that the USA needs to find a means to stop being dependent on Middle Eastern oil.

It's a power and control thing... like parents over a child. Say you are 5 years old and depend on your parents to feed you. Without them you would starve and die. Your parents have authority over you because you need them. Once the USA runs out of oil, it will be completely dependent on ME nations that have the majority of the world's oil supplies.

Knowing this, these nations can manipulate the oil market; thereby, influence the USA economy.... this is an example of an oil weapon. What problems are cause when middle easterners use oil weapons to offend the usa?
its is not oild weapon; it is the oil they make money to buy weapons.

u cann`t save american people;as long as they allow them to come to your land and attack within.

by the way i`m from middle east.
the price goes up
Americans could control their destiny if they cut their consumption by 10 to 20 percent. The impact on the middle east producers would be significant. Most Americans could manage their gas consumption much better and easily cut back 10%.
wow - hasnt mankind progressed well in terms of technology - today you can make weapons out of oil. Im just a bit worried that its soft lol
The problem with us Americans is we always think it's us against them. When oil prices go up, it is the middle easterner's fault rather than simple market economy. We see large non-American nations as enemies all the time. Why can't we look at ourselves and see how we have bullied others and how arrogant we are. We should ';protect ourselves'; through good politics, diplomacy and working with other nations in the world. We should explore alternative energy and get rid of corporate lobbyists and politicans who only have eyes on their own agenda. I don't agree with this columnist at all.

  • I have a 1972 Jeep CJ5 with a 360 in it. I have been having problems keeping my oil pressure up. Whats wrong?

I have already rebuilt the oil pump. That didn't help. When I first start my Jeep the oil pressure is around 20 psi but as I run it the pressure drops down all the way to 5 psi. I know that 5 psi is way too low but I don't know what is makeing it drop like this.I have a 1972 Jeep CJ5 with a 360 in it. I have been having problems keeping my oil pressure up. Whats wrong?
You have a problem with worn bearings. As the engine warms up the clearance increases there fore oil pressure decreases.I have a 1972 Jeep CJ5 with a 360 in it. I have been having problems keeping my oil pressure up. Whats wrong?
If you've redone the oil pump and still have the problem, worn bearings would be the next place to look. 20 pounds *might* be okay for an idle condition, but I'd except around 60 on start up.

That being said, is it a real pressure gage, or one of the electric ones? If the latter, try replacing the sensor unit. It may be a false reading.
Without knowing a little more about how many miles on it or has been rebuilt or not. Sounds like maybe too much wear on the bearings. If the gap is too much you will lose pressure as the oil gets hot.You might have to rebuild the engine. You also maybe using the wrong weight oil for your Jeep, check the manual on the correct weight that you should be using.

Has anyone experienced good results using Tea Tree Oil to combat skin problems?

    Yup.

Its great for pimples, cuts, flaky scalp and lice.

    Lavender oil is good too.

Rose oil is good for psiriosisHas anyone experienced good results using Tea Tree Oil to combat skin problems?
yes, TTO is great for skin abscesses, pimples, cuts, lice.. etc.

I prefer the TTO ointment because it sticks to to where you put it better.Has anyone experienced good results using Tea Tree Oil to combat skin problems?
It's excellent for fungal and bacterial problems.

It is rather strong so dilute it in baby oil, olive oil or alcohol. Most commercial products don't contain more than about 5%.
Yes, I've used it on pimples, it drys them out. It will make it flaky but that's when you can use dry skin cream and it will make the blemish go away.

What can remove or correct an car engine having oil gel problems?

A ';engine oil'; light and a slight tapping sound is coming from the engine. Checking the engine oil dip stick, shows no oil is circulating in through the engine. However there's no indicationsof a engine ';over heat'; condition while operatingWhat can remove or correct an car engine having oil gel problems?
Maybe the Oil sending unit has failed causing it no to be pumped thru the entire engine... if you find thick sludge like left over, you might want to have the engine (internal) high pressure rinced in order to remove all the trash inside...engine overheat will only warn you when the coolant is overheating it has nothing to do with the amount of oil in hte engine....What can remove or correct an car engine having oil gel problems?
Just because the engine isn't overheating doesn't mean that it isn't running low on oil.

If there's no oil showing on the dipstick, you need to add oil a quart at a time until it does show. Don't run the engine until you do so, or it might fail catastrophically.

Also, after adding oil, check for leaks and check the oil frequently and keep a careful watch on the level for a few days afterwards in case there's a hidden leak.

    No!

What makes you think you need an oil change?

How often do you change it?If i need a oil change will that cause my car to have problems starting up?
no but bad oil or thin oil will cause ticking in the motor
it would have to be really bad for that. with smoke out the exhaust.

What are the problems about oil?

what are some problems about oil right now? i have to write an IWA about mccains plans and obamas plans. What are the problems about oil?
Mc Cain takes the short term view. Drill of shore and with a bit of luck the price at the pumps might fall. This is typical of vote grabbing politicians of the last 30 years. America had plenty of oil in the 1970's. America's economy was sustained by its large oil reserves. Unfortunately it is more or less all gone now.

Obama takes the long term view. America consumes 25% of the worlds oil, but only produces 3%, 66% is from the Middle East, the rest Canada, Venezuela, Nigeria etc. America, at the present rate of consumption has proven oil reserves to last about 12 years. What is needed is to reduce consumption, by producing electric or hydrogen fuel celled cars.

Politicians throughout the developed countries, lobbied by the car manufacturers and oil companies, have done nothing over the last 30 years, to reduce our dependence on oil imported from the middle east.

The largest remaining oil reserves are in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq and Iran. The oil crises of 1973 should have been a wake up call, for politicians to change their policies, but they did nothing. What are the problems about oil?
The main problem is we have plenty right here in America that we could get for free and Obama won't take it. If McCain is elected, they will drill, and gas prices will be extremetly cheap for no concequence. That's all you need to know.

    Oil Boiler problems?

We have a myson oil boiler which has worked fine for years, until we had a new radiator fitted in bathroom and the water system had to be drained and radiators bled. Since then the boiler has heated the radiators, but has not heated up the water. The boiler has also cut out a few times. Any advice will be greatly appreciated as we have no hot water.Oil Boiler problems?
you need to call your HVAC people back to finish their job. If the burner in your boiler is running, then there is something incorrect in the water system.

EDIT: pay attention to what the guy below me said. He makes an excellent point about finding a GOOD hvac company.Oil Boiler problems?
You didn't give enuf info. Hot water or steam boiler? Why would anyone drain the water anyhow? That suggests a circulating hot water system. Old boilers do collect crud in their water, but it normally mostly stays in suspension. However- 'stale' water has no oxygen left to corrode your system. If the serviceperson left the boiler empty for any length of time it's likely that under dry conditions the 'crud' hardened on the outside of the hot water coil and is acting as insulation which won't allow the water to heat. The coil IS probably replaceable, but I have no idea how many $.

Re the 'boiler' cutting out- that's most likely the oil burner- which would need its annual cleaning, but the boiler does have safety devices to prevent it from operating under dangerous conditions. That's less likely, but still possible.

For just domestic hot water a separate water heater would be simpler and likely less expensive. BTW- a new boiler would most likely be smaller and much more efficient. Better ask around for a GOOD serviceman. It's worth a try to ask the person who delivers your fuel oil.

i haven't seen any with steam coming out of the oil cap before unless you have a cracked head on it,that's just not normal for one to do that, what you might be seeing is a light film of smoke coming from it,but have it checked,to be sure, good luck.
I hope you didn't put the injector cleaner in the oil. That goes in the gas tank.

A flush is worthless, if the motor is good operating condition, you can add some auto. trans. fluid to your oil. the detergents eat away the sludge, but you will have to change your oil more often. the only way to get rid of it all is an overhaul. How do you remove oil sludge from an engine efficiently to prevent problems? 99 Chrysler Concorde 2.7?
well in the day we used kerosene to clean it all out, not running the engine and making sure there was no spark,,

now, you can buy additives to add to a engine to clean it,

I only run Castrol in all my cars,
if it has sludge, its probably too late with the 2.7..
There are products to do it but if it was my car I'd just change the oil every 3000 miles and don't let it get low. A good detergent oil will clean the engine over time.
take off the valve cover and clean what you can with gasoline then use an additive like gunk out

Why do you believe that the engine is NOT running hot?

An engine temperature gauge reading hot, might suggest otherwise, but if the engine is actually running hot, it is also highly likely that the oil pressure will drop, and those two indications together suggest that there is something wrong, and if not dealt with, the engine is likely to be seriously damaged. Don't ignore the instrumentation too lightly! Ask for advice from a competent engineer.
The sensor may be bad, or the wire is broken or has come diconnected from the sensor.
sounds like you could have a bad ground on eletrical.or bad sensors.

I bought the car with less than 50k miles in Feb and have had several oil-related problems with it already...Has anyone had problems with burning oil in a 2002 mercedes c320?
Yes but it was S320. Usually in hot weather Benz may run a little hotter with A/C on which in turn wears out valve steam seals. If there is no problem with the engine you should be fine just replacing those. And if you do it yourself you'll be a much better off than taking it anywhere.Has anyone had problems with burning oil in a 2002 mercedes c320?

What problems and expenses can I expect from putting too much oil in my car? Can I fix it myself?

My car is a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan with about 65000 miles. My husband told me to add oil to the car. I was stupid and put too much oil in my car. We're talking WAY too much. When I started the car and went inside, the kids came running in and said something was wrong with the car. There was white smoke coming out of the tailpipe and oil was coming out also. And, there was oil coming out from under the car as well.

I immediately turned off the car. Can this be fixed by just draining the oil, or do I need major work? What type of problems and expense am I looking at? Can it be driven to a mechanic or should it be towed? Thanks in advance for your help.

The biggest concern for PKD patients is to keep good blood pressure control. If you check it often and it's not elevated then I don't think you'll have a problem. My 2 sisters and my brother all have PKD and have successfully worked many different jobs. Just as with anyone, eating well, exercising and keeping things in moderation you can do fine, as long as you really stay on top of elevated blood pressure. There are lots of other kidney patients and caregivers who can answer questions and give support on the message forum at http://www.ihatedialysis.com/forum/. Online discussions are a great way to connect with those with kidney disease. I wish you the best of luck.

  • Do you think replacing oil would have solved US middle east problems instead of war?

Point is, once they make no money from the oil their economies would collapse.

Investing a few hundred Billion in hydro cells which are already developed would eliminate any need for oil.Do you think replacing oil would have solved US middle east problems instead of war?
First of all even without oil hate is hate and if we don't buy oil from them then they'll say we are ruining their economy so no matter what we do they will want to kill us because we are western...So terrorist feed and breed hate for the purpose of hate and power nothing more....We are not in Iraq because of oil, ask an Iraqi american why we are there.... They will enlighten you to the realities of an extremist regime..Do you think replacing oil would have solved US middle east problems instead of war?
hydro cells won't be as good because they want to get the hydrogen from the oil wells. Ethanol is the way to go.
they could of replaced oil or at least reduced our need for it long ago, big oil interests have no interest in losing the power and control they have over vast economies, they are getting too wealthy for their own good to allow that.

I was watching videos of one technology that would of eliminated the need for gas in cars and trucks and no need to us electricity from power plants, it creates it's own and is perpetural., but it has been stalled in teh government for 25 years. they won't let the guy get a patent despite all his jumping through their hoops. they won't let him market it, my question is why if the government is always calling us oil junkies?

there have been other technologies too, as long as special interests control government beneficial technologies (that actually are for people's benefit first and not profit) will be stalled every time.

    RRRRR
This is a very interesting link. What is shows is exactly what you are describing.

    http://www.sandia.gov/news/resources/rel鈥?/a>

What this means is we are using the best and the brightest in the USA to come up with alternative fuels. Specifically hydrocarbons. Imagine having algae and bacteria make oil for us. Its not science fiction. The research they are doing is easily expandable to cars etc. What this says to me is the US government is actually working to get a viable self sufficient strategic oil reserve program that doesnt include the middle east.

Then we wont fund terrorism by supporting Saudi Arabia and the rest of them. All our money and infrastructure would be here in the USA.
Yes I do. But we will be in worse shape once China decides they want to control the oil. They used to ride bicycles, they don't anymore. We need to get off oil now.
No one wants to do hard work bro. I wish people were as smart as you

EDIT- See, I was right. The thumbs down proves that people can be really lazy, isnt it?
Replacing oil would not only remove our private parts from the middle east grip, but it would be the right thing to do for our collective environment and the future of our children.

The problem with this solution is that it will exclude a small percentage of very powerful people from their access to the world's cookie jar, therefore this sensible solution will never come to fruition unless and until people realize the true motives for our foreign policies and vote people into office who have OUR interests in mind.

ps. I've just recently discovered you and I enjoy reading your questions and answers. You're one of the smartest people here.
Yes. That's where the concept of sanctions come into play... thinking if you can hinder an economy by not doing trade with it, the result is collapse indirectly.

Iraq had been under sanctions that ironically, were working. Iraq had minimal assets and Saddam was contained.
Absolutely, and it astonishes me we aren't all over this.

We could, in very short order, have in operation enough nuclear power generators and other energy sources to make oil virtually useless.

Unlike other power generating methods, nuclear power plants do not back down at night when usage is low. This unneeded power could easily recharge our automobiles.

Before long the Mideast would be sitting upon worthless black muck, that nobody wants.
Yep, and I think one of the mighty ones that run for office, should offer us a 5,000. sure start program to convert to those cells.

I am wondering what would happen if we did something for a month..

Shut off the car.. car pool.. Lets see if it might do em in..

Everyone take one month off from traveling.. Period.. what do you say? Anyone mad enough?
People in the ME still had tons of money (OBL for one), so they could still continue to cause murder and mayhem all over the world.

The radical muslims in other parts of the world, Ethiopia, Chechyna, the Philippines, Uighurs, don't have the same money and still cause murder and mayhem.
Getting off of foreign oil would certainly solve a lot of foreign policy issues. But, it would hurt our economy also. It would put corporations, consumers, and workers in a bind.

We'd be putting a lot of manufacturing laborers out of work. We couldn't sustain the kind of production of new technologies that would be in demand. Prices would go up as demand went up. The process of switching over to alternative fuels has to be gradual, but I would certainly agree that the process needs to be faster than it is now.

Neither political party currently has an interest in switching.

(Speaking in generalities...) Democrats need the votes of the manufacturing unions. Republicans need the money from the big corporations. Democrats don't want to alienate middle class voters by hitting their wallets, and Republicans don't want to alienate their strange Middle East policy by abandoning the oil reserves in those countries.

    http://truepolitics.us
It certainly would lower the chances we would wind up in another war. Unfortunately we can't reverse the things Bush and Cheney have done to us.

If the war wasn't about oil, why didn't we invade Darfur?
I'm sure you're acutely aware that there has been a huge push toward a more greener society. It's not an overnight process to simply come up with an alternative fuel design...it takes time.
    Watch the movie ';Why We Fight';

it will awnser all your questions about the american war industy. and military industrial complex, and why we are actually in there.

I had to watch it two times to really undersatnd it

    look it up....... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Why_We_Fight_(2005_film)

it really did anwser all of my questions
Sure. Though ';hydro cars'; isn't a viable technology (yet). A quibble--there are a whole slew of alternative technologies we can use.

And that is what we need to do--quit using 19th century fossil fuel technology. Start using up-to-date systems instead of protecting special interests who are out-of-date. And get off our dependancy on foreign oil.

Then tellall the right-wing nuts to go shut up and let the Middle East solve their own problems instead of butting in.
If we'd gone to war for oil, there was an easier target, alot closer.

    Canada!
    I'm all for that.
The war wasn't about oil, so your question is mute.

I have a 1980 Honda CX500 with Clutch problems. Is there supposed to be oil in the clutch housing?

We were driving the bike and it started to slip out of gear. Now we can shift without the clutch in every gear and nothing graps so we figure the clutch went out. When we took the clutch cover plate off and oil came out. Also does anyone know where we can get a manual on line for this bike?I have a 1980 Honda CX500 with Clutch problems. Is there supposed to be oil in the clutch housing?
When you say 'slipping out of gear' do you mean the clutch was slipping? First check the adjustment of the clutch cable (the knurled adjusters are where the cable enters the clutch lever).

If the clutch disengages but is slipping, you probably need new clutch plates. Bikes run engine oil to lubricate the gears- as opposed to cars which have separate engine and gearbox- so the oil is no problem. It's not too hard a job, but if you're not into mechanical stuff get a workshop to do it. Replace both sets of clutch plates at once: there are wearing plates, which have a material on them like brake linings, and driven plates, plain steel plates the other plates push on and drive. If you are going cheap, make it clear you ONLY want the first set of plates changed. Springs are the same- replace for a 'proper job', leave in the old ones if you need to save money or want to get rid of the bike soon.

If you do the job yourself, check the plain steel plates are not warped: place them on a piece of glass. Hold the clutch basket still by wrapping tyre inner tube around it: be careful not to damage it. Don't forget to buy a new clutch cover gasket.

If, on the other hand, the clutch is engaged all the time (no slipping- and effectively no way to disengage the drive without selecting neutral at the gear box) then the clutch plates are sticking together. This often happens if a bike has been sitting. Change the oil and fit new clutch springs.I have a 1980 Honda CX500 with Clutch problems. Is there supposed to be oil in the clutch housing?
You can get a manual here -

    http://www.motocom.com/motorcycles/
Yes it's supposed to have oil in the clutch, it's a wet clutch just like 95% of bikes are these days. You probably just need new clutch plates. Don't know where you can get a manual online but you can get one from ebay or honda for under $40. It's worth it to have it as a book so you can take it with you into the garage.

What problems could occur by using olive oil to lubricate an automobile/motorcycle engine?

    What problems will occur?

In short order, some component in the engine will fail, destroying the engine.

I suspect this will take less than an hour.

Olive oil is not to be used as an engine lubricant.

Save it for making some basil pesto. What problems could occur by using olive oil to lubricate an automobile/motorcycle engine?
Engine oil is made to create a barrier to keep metal from touching metal. It's viscosity and stabilizers make it able to handle high heat and close tolerance. Olive oil will boil off and leave 0 protection. Not to mention make a mess of anything that doesn't actually break.

Save it for the chicken pesto. What problems could occur by using olive oil to lubricate an automobile/motorcycle engine?
there is a phrase in my country Oils ant Oils

    I own 5 classic Motorcycles and a 1964 220SB Mercedes Benz

and after doing my homework i can use GTX but not GTX 2 or 3 why because of the low to no Zinc in the make up of the Oil

olive oil caster oil is just oil Motor oil is Not just oil

shell racing is also better for older Engines has the highest ratio of Zinc

it is not just the oil it is also the additives that give engine protection

wrong oil higher fuel consumption Bearings failure and Piston overheating
Some older motorcycles (and First World War aircraft) used a total loss system, rather than olive oil they used castor oil 鈥?the total loss system meant the riders and pilots got to inhale the used castor oil with unfortunate results.
Olive oil smokes and then becomes sticky at relatively low temperatures. Don't put it in machinery, and don't cook with it.
Loss of viscosity and engine failure

Are all our problems due to the oil price and American banks, do you believe Gordon Brown?

Is he the sort of man you would like to go on your night out? - I bet he'd be the last one to get a round in!Are all our problems due to the oil price and American banks, do you believe Gordon Brown?
The man that sold our gold for about $200 an ounce, then watched it soar to nearer $1000 an ounce? OopsAre all our problems due to the oil price and American banks, do you believe Gordon Brown?
Gordon Brown has a lot more in common with Maggie Thatcher than he has with Harold Wilson. David Cameron is keeping his powder dry, all he has to do is let Gordon keep talking.

It was the price of oil that got the American banks into trouble. Gordon as Chancellor should have seen it coming and ordered the Bank of England to intervene. Damage limitation was a possible option.

Oil and gas prices are out of control, but he could reduce fuel taxation which is effectively a stealth tax on everything in the shops that arrives by lorry.

I wouldn't drink with Gordon, he's taxed the a75e off that as well.
I think this would have happened regardless of who is power, we are tightly bound with the american economy. However our economy has a natural cycle of up and down boom and bust, this is the natural balancing down we are experiencing now. Having said that I have no time for Gordon Brown he is true labour and yes I bet he would be in the toilet every time a round needed getting in.
I don't believe him, although its not all his fault. We depend heavily on the USA economy, who inturn depend even more heavily on Saudi Arabia. The Saudi's have Trillions of dollars in the US banks - they pull the strings on the barrel prices for oil. USA will not fall out with Saudi's as, if they withdrew their money the USA would crumple (taking us with it!). Everything is about money and certain politicians ties to Saudi oil companies. We are talking Billions here............
No!I do not! Most of our economic problems have been caused by Gordon Brown's mishandling of the British economy during his tenure as Chancellor of the Exchequer! He is a political failure through and through! The sooner he and his political 'toadies' are voted out the better for the Britain and the LabourParty!
G Brown is most definitely NOT the type of man i would like to be associated with , he is a liar cheat and a back stabber most definitely not to be trusted , as for this claptrap about oil price HE is the guilty party what with his prattling on about GLOBAL warming when where ? a load of unadulterated tosh it is now out of the window because it affects HIM, oh my his car MIGHT not get petrol well he does not have a driving licence , HE IS A THICKO NOT FIT TO DRIVE , what about the country , look out THICKOS in charge. I am Scottish, keep him
Most of that is true and ANY leader at this time would be in the same mess (Even the ';saviour'; Cameron whose spots have yet to change).

Oil price is here to stay and the credit squeeze is US fault.
To be blunt I wouldn't believe Brown if he told me Christmas Day was on the 25th December ! The man is a chronic and habitual liar.
the problems are down to poor leadership with no plan B when the sh*t hits the fan, what do we pay these people for to fall down at the first hurdle ?.....:)

I am having problems with my oil light on my car (97 corsa) please help?

my oil light on my car has started to stay on even though the oil levels are ok. oil light will go off and on, flicker and fade. Also i have noticed that since this problem started my car is juddering when first started up like its misfiring. This all seem to happen a couple of days after the garage put a new battery in the car, has anyone got any ideas what it could be?I am having problems with my oil light on my car (97 corsa) please help?
Check for a bad chassis ground near the battery or just a bad connection at the battery

Why do some people believe that moving away from oil as a primary fuel will solve all geopolitical problems?

This is not a question of whether or not we should explore alternative fuels, because we should. However, any alternative fuel will involve some type of resource. So isn't it likely that the focus will just shift to the new resource of choice and that world conflict will continue unabated? Wars throughout history have been fought for 3 primary reasons. Religious doctrine, control of resources and conquest of territory.

Thoughts? Why do some people believe that moving away from oil as a primary fuel will solve all geopolitical problems?
I seriously believe that we should be looking for alternative fuels that will be better on our environment because whether or not you are a democrat or a republican we can all agree that this is our home and we need to keep it safe.

However, I do believe that when we find these new alternatives the government, or other businesses with find ways to drive up the prices. These prices will probably be around the same as a gallon of gas now.Why do some people believe that moving away from oil as a primary fuel will solve all geopolitical problems?
Up to a point you make good points but. The idea in the US is to use the resources in our own backyard that are renewable. Oil isn't and never will be renewable. Once we are using our own resources places like the Middle east become far less relevant to our daily lives. Thus we need not involve ourselves in there local problems and the locals there would appreciate that very much. It would also help in the problem of global warming or change whatever term turns your crank. Oil is a major contributor as well as coal to this problem. The other is that oil IS running out it is only a matter of time. So the soon we get of the black drug of oil the better off we will be economically we will be.
Yes that is a good point.

I would think the resources needed would be less first of all. Like solar panels and wind turbines, for example, require a large amount of materials, but after they're built you don't need as much anymore.

But I think the main reason the problems wouldn't be as big because these resources are much more spread out. Different materials would be made in different areas so it'd be more interconnected.

I think there would be some alleviation to geopolitical problems. But I suppose we have to be realistic and realize these problems will always exist.
No one say it will solve ALL geopolitical problems.

But it is a fact that control of resources and control of territory are related. When the largest consumers of a resource like oil(China and the United States) is not possessed in any quantity by EITHER of the two largest users... then you will inevitably (and our history has borne this out) have conflict.

If you replace that scarce energy resource (oil) with others that almost ALL nations have (either sunshine... wind... geothermal....wave or tidal energy... or if they can get fusion to eventually work just good old water) then you REMOVE the object of the fight... and you solve ONE geopolitical problem.

Right now... that ONE is the biggest one there is.
I agree, however I'd have to see what the alternative options were to judge if they would be more controversial than oil. Resources will indeed always cause geopolitical problems, but I think some more than others.

We don't know - oil could be the least of our problems or it could be the worst option. As a more varied range of fuel options become commercialised, I guess we will have to see what happens in regards to territorial, power and religion issues. For now, laissez-faire...

Good question! First, I believe since we are rapidly using oil, the price is increasing just as well. Oil isn't a renewable source on a human time line, so moving to something that we can restore seems wise. Plus, the reason we've fought over resources is because of the location, we want to claim it on someone else's land. However, with an alternative (ahem steam) we could easily prevent war over something so trivial by moving the product, not the extrator.
I think it would do a few things...

Give us Americans and other Westerners cheaper energy and thus more disposable income. This would help our current economic issues.

We could concentrate our military efforts on places that really need help, such as genocidal regions of Africa. This would create good will, and Africa will be helped.

Now, one may think the Middle Eastern nations would be hurt, but they still will produce for China and India, who are well behind the times, and the average Middle Easterner doesn't benefit much from the oil wealth, which is in the hands of a few.

I see it as a win-win for Westerners; and perhaps other regions, such as Africa, could benefit indirectly.
Moving to alternate fuels is mostly a political decision. You see, the Democrats want to get their tax-hungry hands on fuels that are now on the ground-floor. Too late to get oil money, so that is why they push for alternate energies. ...hence, 'global warming' fears will speed this process up.
Of course, but weaning ourselves off the oil teat will also spread the wealth around instead of concentrating it in the hands of a few people/countries that don't really like us.

And how much of these resources are here in the US that we can use, rather than importation?

It won't but it sure as h-ll can't hurt. As far as the fuel goes for anything other that cars solar as well as wind and some other newer technologies is absolutely the way to go because nobody controls the sun or the wind or the heat in the deep ground.
I would break the back of the evil ruling elite. Banking and energy are what they have managed to control. That is a lot of wealth to buy politicians, police and armies.
Every major party Presidential candidate has said so since Nixon took the stump. That's 35 years of thought process to overcome.
The only thing that will finally solve all of mankinds problems is total extermination.
The idea is that we would obtain our power from local sources such as our abundant coal or nuclear or wind.

  • My mercedes says its 8000 miles over due for an oil change. How many more miles can I go with out problems?

Also, I use regular gas instead of premium, I cant notice anything wrong and Ive been doin it for years can I go on using regular gas?My mercedes says its 8000 miles over due for an oil change. How many more miles can I go with out problems?
0!!!! Your Mercedes should be changed every 3000 miles using conventional oil. If you have synthetic, you can sometimes get away with around 5000 miles. As far as damage goes... just get your oil changed as soon as possible because your oil is burnt out, and will literally come out of your exhaust. Used motor oil is like liquid sandpaper to your engine. My mercedes says its 8000 miles over due for an oil change. How many more miles can I go with out problems?
8000 miles overdue is being a bit on the harsher side for your engine. Being a Mercedes, she can take it. I would suggest the following steps, if, for whatever reason you do not wish to change the oil:-

    1) Check oil level, if low, top up immediately.

    2) Check dipstick for colour/texture of oil. If overly black and traces of sludge are present, change oil and filter.

    3) If the car is not overheating nor is the engine knocking, the oil can be changed after a few more miles.

Remember, oil removes sludge, water content, acids and other corrosive matter from the engine. Timely oil and filter changes keep the engine in prime condition and extends its useful life.

Most models of Mercedes run on regular gas and this should not be a cause for any great concern. The premium fuels give a cleaner burn (if these are recommended).
A lot of people change oil at 3000 miles, I have always change at 5000 miles, and have very good luck with my engines. You need to change the oil, now, it will help the engine to change the oil. also the oil filter. On the gas you use in you car, if it run good with regular, then use regular, If it ping when speeding up or on a hill, go up a grade, it may also be time for a tune up. Change the air filter too. and do the gas filter as soon as you can,
Go to the Blackstone Laboratories website and order their kit and send them a sample of your oil. Let them analyze it so they can tell you exactly how cruddy it is. There is never a good reason to abuse your vehicle like this. I recommend that you put a quality synthetic oil in and a quality filter as soon as possible. I disagree with the Valvoline Tech also. My 07 Ford Fusion has a 5k mile change interval recommended by the manufacturer using semi-synthetic which is what the dealer uses and is OEM recommended. I use full synthetic and change it every 7k and my oil is fine (I have had it analyzed by the lab so I know for sure). Also if your vehicle is recommending premium it probably has a higher compression ratio. If you hear any knocking or pinging you need to use a higher octane fuel. Most German cars recommend 91 octane if they are recommending premium use try using half a tank of 93 and half of 87 with a quality gas (Shell, Mobil, BP) or using 89 octane. You may get a small bump up in your fuel economy to justify your increase in cost for buying midgrade.
Oil change is life for your engine. (Please ask your dealer for the price of a new engine)

If you want to use 16.000 miles (or more) oil change intervals, use AMSOIL.

If your engine runs on regular, use it. ';Premium'; is for people who wants to waste money, or for damaged cars. You can go to the owner manual and search for the gas the manufacturer recommends.
Seems like you don't really give a crap about your car so why not keep driving it to find out how much longer it will run. I you don't have $30 for an oil change and $4 a tank for the correct gas, maybe you should be looking for a cheaper car. It won't be long toll you will owe money on a huge lawn ornament.
How many miles.... NONE. Buck up and go have it changed ASAP. Grow up or you wont have it long and it will be a junk heep in the drive way. You have what others would kill for --be responsible and take care of it!!
Not vary many if you want to get the most out of your car and the same goes for using regular gas.
do your self a huge favor and get an oil and filter change every 3000miles and if ur car runs ok on reg then it will continue to run good on it

Does removing oil from the earth causes problems within its core?

By removing oil from the earth, does this cause problems for the core, like not being able to stay on its magnetic axis, therefore, if the earth move about a fraction of a degree from its axis, will cause similarities such as global warming, ice melts at the poles and more imbalances through out the worldDoes removing oil from the earth causes problems within its core?
Actually Yukos has been drilling about 7 miles deep for several decades. So far nothing but small surface settling.

    http://www.vialls.com/wecontrolamerica/p鈥?/a>

    ';In 1970 the Russians started drilling Kola SG-3, an exploration well which finally reached a staggering world record depth of 40,230 feet. Since then, Russian oil majors including Yukos have quietly drilled more than 310 successful super-deep oil wells, and put them into production. Last Year Russia overtook Saudi Arabia as the world's biggest single oil producer, and is now set to completely dominate global oil production and sales for the next century. ';

Silicon Valley floor dropped about 6 - 10 feet when water table went from artesian wells to drilling about 150' for water.Does removing oil from the earth causes problems within its core?
If it does, I am sure the oil companies wouldn't tell you. At the rate that they are pumping the oil out, there will be a cavity the size of Kuwait which will eventually cave in, but who cares? The plunderers won't be around when it happens.
We are not causing any problems with the core. The core is thousands of miles down and we are rarely going more than a mile. When we extract oil, there is plenty of water to take its place. There are a few places that have subsided becuase of the liquid that we removed but it is a minor problem. Too often, some, like the previous answerer, believe that everything man does is extremely destructive to the enviroment. They go to rediculous extremes to make their point. It simply won't imbalance the world because the amount removed is probably less than a trillionth the mass.
No. All the oil we have ever removed came from the crust. No well of any kind has ever been drilled anywhere near as deep as the core of Earth, or even the mantle.
What do you do, like, sit around and make this stuff up? How have got this far in life, without blowing yourself up?
It wouldn't cause problems with the Earths actual core, the oil we plunder from the Earth is never much deeper than a mile down, on the surface layer of the the planet, the crust. It is nowhere near the actual core.

However, removing such large amounts of oil from massive underground caverns may one day lead to huge sink-holes or underground collapses. We know very little about such geology deep down, and it's very dangerous to do such things without more knowledge.
I doubt oil has anything to do with the core as it floats on the surface of the water table. There are some processes which we are actally pumping water into the ground to force the oil out. Mostly in Alberta it is a digging process and the oil is then extracted from the sand. I think removing oil from our water supply would be a bennefical process.
theoretically you are on the right track, stay tuned for further developments, no one knows the true answer to that one, but we are all bozo`s on the same bus, if it does come unhinged, it will be a catastrophy no one can stop, kind of like dominoes, once the chain reaction starts, how many can you knock over before we`re all going down for the count?
No study has ever proven or disproved this. But if it is in the ground, why should it not be used.

Removing the oil has never caused anything as far as earthquakes, etc. We live on this planet and use natural resources. Oil is but one of many natural resources we consume.
i am not sure but i don't think it affects it at all. the earth's core is many miles deep within the earth and our drilling is superficial so its a long way for them to reach core.

How has geography created problems with the transportation of oil in the middle eastern region?

Hi Oil has to be pumped from the well to a holding tank to a ship to an oil terminal to a refinery, then transported to the point of use.

What are the long term problems of high oil prices?

high oil prices= high food prices+high construction prices+high intrest rates

    Simply it makes high inflation.

But it also focus in new energy saving market. What are the long term problems of high oil prices?
Since Oil is the primary supplier of fuel to the transportation sector of the world, high oil prices will lead to a reduction in goods and services being transported. As such, there will be a reduction in global trade. With reduce trade comes reduced economic growth. What are the long term problems of high oil prices?
we will learn a new lifestyle. It will affect all facets of life at some time soon. Vacation trips may be a thing of the past. The work week may be cut to 4 or less. School days may be cut to 4, but longer days. We may find the work day of 8 hours extended to 10 to pay for fuel. People with land will grow more crops themselves. It will get progressively worse. Almost like a weird sci-fi movie. People will hoard water and ammunition. Motorcycle sales will hit all time highs. Bicycles will jump in production and sales. Long commutes will get modified to tele-commuting for some. This is a novel in progress, so I 'll quit here.

Is it not time due to oil and environmental problems- to bring out the alternative inventions regarding fuels?

irrespective of the billions that will be lost in the oil industry-- is it not time for the benefit of all in the long run?Is it not time due to oil and environmental problems- to bring out the alternative inventions regarding fuels?
Welcom to Free Enterprise my friend

The challenge is how to present and manufacture an alternative idea and not be bought out or hampered by your already established and VERY rich and powerfull competition.

(I think the trick is to figure out a way to accent the current fuel choice and then when the time is right, switch over entirely, case in point soy based or grain based fuel options) It'll happen when Gas gets so expensive that the alternatives are more cost effective. Stay optimistic God bless

none because my boyfriend is a mechanic and makes sure everything is right. but generally if you take your car to canadian tire, walmart, quick lube... those guys dont actually know much about cars (generally, not all the time) and dont have their mechanics license so a good part of the time, sometime will go wrong. What problems have you had after an oil change?
Honestly?? hole in my radiator....they didn't even give me the right oil change I wanted....so needed new radiator....but of course they didn't do it....and wanted a coolant flush...but they gave me a induction fuel system service....went to pick it up for the 3rd time......and they broke my harness to my air bag censer
well, after my last oil change, I pulled out onto the main roadway and a plastic bag flew up onto my windshield and blocked my vision, causing me to crash into a fence... lol
i never had any trouble, i always check my work when i get done.

Water-based is best if you're using latex condoms because the oil will break down the condom itself..

If you aren't, I would suggest Edgar Cayce's Almond Massage Oil. This is a 100% almond oil product with vitamin E, unscented, not tested on animals, and certified by periodic laboratory tests to be free of pesticides residues. It's a pure food grade oil and is totally safe for oralsex and has almost no taste.

As Tim Gunn from Project Runway would say...';Carry on'; !Are there any problems that can arise from using massage oil for anal sex?
it would only be bad if you were using a condom because one of you has an std or something because oil based lubes destroy latex, so don't use it during normal sex either. Other than that there are no downsides.
the prblems are small compared to the other health problems than you can get from the process of having anal sex alone.
Next time just try good old human saliva... preferably your own... nothing like a good rim job to start off anal sex.... try it, she'll like it.
I prefer Arstoglide. It don't get sticky like some others (cough KY Jelly), cough. Of course, natural juices seem to work the best. Just got to get her nice and hot bro...
At worst you might learn one of you is allergic and end up with a rashed up itchy bottom. Don't laugh, it's a horrible thing...
    Golly lets hope not!!

Can you switch from synthetic oil to regular oil without any problems?

You can change at any time. No need to perform any special flushes or anything like that. I would suggest the first oil change mileage to be at the 3,000 miles. I say this because I have notices that some cars will consume the new oil. After that I would go by the specs as set by the oil manufacturer. All of my vehicle's run synthetic and we change the oil in many vehicles each year to the synthetics. Being in the trucking business we regularly ran truck 15,000 to 25,000 miles between oil changes. Go ahead and purchase a quality product and run the recommended mileage. You will not see any increased wear. I have pulled oil samples and had them checked many times and we have never found any increase in ware by running the higher mileages. Can you switch from synthetic oil to regular oil without any problems?
Yes, you car may not run as good but it won't hurt it.Can you switch from synthetic oil to regular oil without any problems?
Yes you can but you should flush your engine and not mixed the oil. This is to make sure that your dirty old oil is removed from the system before you add in the new oil.

The oil-change interval will be shorter if you are using regular mineral oil. Recommended intervals are 5,000 km for mineral oils and 10,000 km for synthetic oil.
You can switch them and mix them as long as you keep the same viscosity.
yep but you need to chainge oil more often say every 3000 miles insted of every 15000 miles if you are doing the 15000 mile oil chainges you still chainge the filter at 3000 to 6000 miles

as the oil still gets dirty

i once put 10 30 , 10 40 , 30 w ,20 50 , atf and gear oil in my car at the same time to prove that it wouldnt hurt anything it didnt and i am still driveing it 140000 miles and 15 years later
Yes, no need for flushes (just a waste of money) and you must never beleive the BS about not being able to mix the two, or use various different weights of oil.... Heck different brands even.... (its just recommended that you keep it the same weight to just keep it at the same wieght, same brand to ensure the same amount of additives)
yes you can and I would like to see the inside of these motors that are going 15k miles on synthetic. Oil still gets dirty and additives still get used up. Oil never breaks down the additives just get warn out. How do you think they make recycled oil. The oil is still good it just needs to be filtered and new additive packages put in.

Can I use 2-cycle engine oil in a 2-stroke engine without causing problems?

2 cycle and 2 stroke mean the same thing. It is 2 cycle oil. Yes is the short answer. There is a difference between oil for an air cooled engine and a water cooled engine. Read the label and get the one that is right for your engine. Can I use 2-cycle engine oil in a 2-stroke engine without causing problems?
2 cycle and 2 stroke are the same thing. You just need to make sure you get the right ratio. As for a different oil for air vs liquid cooled engine I don't think there is a difference.

what would be the best way to fix a problem with the oil not lubricating the top of the motor I know I have to take it all apart and clean it out but what would be the best way to clean it? and does anyone know how I can get the repair instructions online for free? Please help I'm afraid it won't last much longer!2003 hyundai elantra oil and engine problems?
If the oil is not reaching the top of the motor you need a new engine. Here's why: For the oil pressure to have dropped so severely the main bearings would have to be almost nonexistent. And also, running an engine with no oil to the top will ruin the valvetrain instantly. So, if your engine is running at all, it is in fact getting oil to the top. But, if you just want to clean out the oil passageways, replace the oil in the engine with clean oil, except for one of the quarts you should replace with automatic transmission fluid. Run the car like this for 50 miles then change back to regular oil.

Is McCain right that offshore drilling will solve all our oil problems forever?

    McCain criticized Obama, saying ';He says it won't solve our problem... He's wrong.';

In other words, McCain is stating that offshore drilling WILL solve our problems. He believes that single act will ensure plentiful cheap oil forever.

    Do you agree with McCain?

    Source:

    http://www.rr.com/view/content/story.cfm鈥?/a>

Is McCain right that offshore drilling will solve all our oil problems forever?
It will solve our problem right now, and give us 25 years to find alternative fuel sources.

Obama suggested we inflate our tires.

McCain said we do it all; drill, explore, invent, wind, solar, battery... all of it.

Obama suggested we tune up our cars.

Obama also suggested he would support drilling, but only if it is part of a ';comprehensive'; plan, but he won't spell out even a vaguely veiled plan.Is McCain right that offshore drilling will solve all our oil problems forever?
Obama said that the abortion issue was ';above his pay grade'; so drilling must be above his pay grade too using his logic.

McCain said Drilling has to be part of the puzzle that includes conservation, alternative energy, and Nuclear. You are twisting his words, just like the 100 year war in Iraq statement which was the troops could stay in the same way they have in Germany and Japan and South Korea as long as they are NOT engaged in battles.

So twist your little lies the public has open their eyes and Obama lies of who he is and what he is has been shown.

    NO

Big Oil has proven sites leased out now - THAT THEY REFUSE TO DRILL. Thats right. Millions of acres of land they have leased the title to from the federal government. These sites are sitting idle.

Next, there are still over 68,000,000 drillable acres of federal land and offshore sites available for private companies to drill.

Big Oil is creating a distraction! They go on these Public Relations Campaigns to blame liberals, democrats and environmentalist. They do this to keep the average American off their backs.

    Recap

    - big oil has proven oil sites sitting idle

    - big oil won't even lease the 68,000,000 acres of drillable land and offshore sites available (more land than the size of Colorado).

    - big oil is making record profits.
McCain is a silly prick. All he will accomplish is putting more money into the pockets of US stockholders owning oil investments. McCain, Bush, %26amp; Cheney are the PROBLEM........not the solution .

McCain is already promising more of those BIG TAX BREAKS to the pirates who are stealing the money out of the pockets of the poor, disabled, and working class who are buying GAS for a hard day's work, and to those struggling to heat their homes .

McCain ( and his wife ) are silly PRICKS !!!
You're putting words in his mouth to fit your extremist views. Drilling domestic oil will buy us more time to work out alternatives, and make us less dependent (temporarily) on foreign oil. He never said the word ';forever,'; or even implied it.

If liberals would devote as much passion and energy into developing a workable, practical alternative to oil as they do attacking republicans, we'd be running cars on solar power by now. For the time being, like it or not, we need oil to keep our standard of living. I personally don't want to have to learn how to ride a horse to work. This is 2008, not 1850.When I can power my car with something other than oil, I'll be as happy as anyone else. For now, that's not possible.
No one is saying that oil is the only solution. Clearly it will run out at some point, or we'll be able to replace it with alternatives (but that will take at least 50 years). What he's saying is that it's a big part of the solution. We will need all of the energy we can get our hands on in order to satisfy our future demand. To say that oil is not part of the solution is what's ridiculous.
Where did you get the forever? He has repeatedly stated that all alternatives from our OWN oil to wind, solar and nuclear need to be utilized to make us an energy independent nation. Unlike the libs who want us to suffer for decades until the nation can transform over to those alternates.
Whether it would solve the problem forever is not the point. The point is to keep us all out of the poor house while the problem is being fixed.

This is what is behind all the no drilling crap.

    http://www.nowpublic.com/world/why-no-dr鈥?/a>
I disagree with McCain. While his proposal seems accurate and generous as to how to act now to hold us off, offshore drilling sounds like it should be temporary rather than just relying on it. It's true; we are relying too much on foreign oil; however, we cannot just simply isolate ourselves from trading with nations.
That's insane. No one has stated this single event is going to solve all our problems. You'd put Washington out of a job. What he has stated, is we must start...START being the operative word. Would someone please give Mrs. Palosi a call, and wake her up?
McBush has a fight with T. Boone who says the opposite. ANY mining operation is finite. You have to use a biological process to convert previous sunlight to energy sustainably.
Of course not, but, even though I am a card carrying Liberal, I know we need to tap our own oil reserves until we have the alternative sources in place and working..we are an oil based economy, but that will soon change!
No oil %26amp; water don't mix
Where is the rest of the quote??
McCain says to drill offshore. Obama says no.

McCain says to build more nukes. Obama says no.

McCain says to build more refineries. Obama says no.

McCain says to research alternative fuels. Obama says ';OK, but we'll do handout programs first.'; We can all pay high gas prices in the meanwhile.

McCain's plan is some of everything. Obama is a lot of do nothing.

What are problems caused by abnormal fluid pressure in an oil field?

please list me the problems that are made by pore and fracture pressures during exploration and drilling of an oil reservoir? What are problems caused by abnormal fluid pressure in an oil field?
Its not a huge problem if you know beforehand that you will be drilling into an over pressured zone, you simply increase your drilling fluid (mud) density such that the pressure the mud exerts is greater than the reservoir pressure. If you do not know this and drill into an over pressured zone you will take a kick, (The well will begin to flow) depending on how much of the hole is already cased will determine how much pressure you can control on the surface with the blow out preventors, in 99% of the cases you will be able to control the well, mix drilling mud to the right density and slowly gain control. If you are unable to gain control you will have a blow out, when this happens whether its oil or gas the drilling rig will usually catch on fire and will be destroyed, there is potential for loss of life. If the gas is sour the drilling supervisor has a flare gun and once the men are safely off the rig he has to set the rig on fire to prevent the sour gas from escaping. (its highly poisonous)What are problems caused by abnormal fluid pressure in an oil field?
Abnormal Pressure is a very typical term being used in Oil field.

This essentially mean ';High Formation Pressure';. If not controlled (there are ways to control it during drilling), there is a ';kick';, or a disastrous ';blow out';.
The main problem that I see is the potential for a blowout if your drilling mud weight is too low. The pore pressure in the fromation will seek the easiest route to relieve pressure, this could cause a blow out as mud and gas escape up the borehole and could injure your drillers and crew, as well as machinery, and crete a possible spill (if you are drilling off shore for instance, you could have a release to the ocean).

Can tea tree oil be used in the vagina For bacterial problems?

I need expert oppinion for this I have this oil that smell like perfume. will it iritate my vagina? Is there another tea tree oil without sent? Can tea tree oil be used in the vagina For bacterial problems?
Tea Tree Oil is an Essential Oil and as such difficult to use. It has been banned from some countries (Scandinavian countries among others) because of the dangerous results of improper use.

No essential oil must be used when you are pregnant, around babies and children etc. and cats can die from being exposed to essential oils. I never understand that people think they can use essential oils without precautions. The long term effects are not studied and as they affect hormones and the nervous system they are to be used on the advice of experts only.

There is Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) which has exactly the same properties and is much easier to use as it is not an essential oil. Citrobiotic with 33% og GSE is the best.

I translate here what I had written on a French health forum last year: It's a bit long, but you have the whole treatment, and you can use it without danger.

For vaginal fungus (candidiasis) or bacteria.

Never use pure GSE in the vaginal area. Do not wash with soap, but rinse with water where you have added a few drops of GSE. F. ex. the following vaginal rinse at least once a week as prevention or if you suspect recurrence of the problem.:

    - Emergency treatment: 1 to 3 drops of GSE in a glass of warmish water + 5 drops of Echinacea. Place this mixture in a vaginal bulb and inject in the vagina. Keep 4 to 5 minutes. Repeat every 12 hours (i. e. morning and evening) for 3 days and continue the treatment once a day as long as necessary (at least 2 weeks).

    - Add 20 to 30 drops of ESP to the last rinse water of your underwear to avoid spreading of bacteria and fungus. Spray clean and dry underwear with ESP in spray form. Important to get rid of all fungus and not recontaminate the vaginal area.

    - After treatment, to restore the vaginal flora (very important!) mix natural yoghurt with an equal amount of warmish water and inject in the vagina. Even though it may seem strange, the effectiveness of this treatment has been proved long ago!

    - In case of candidiasis, you also need to take ESP internally. A long process which I can translate if you so wish (ask another question). Developed by a French endocrinologist and fool-proof.

AND !!!! Simultaneously, it is imperative that your partner do the following:

    - Mix 10 drops of GSE in an egg cup of sesame or olive oil and rub the penis with this. Leave for 10 minutes. Never use pure GSE on the genitals! Continue this treatment during at least 2 weeks.

    Same treatment for HIS underwear.

Long process, but it's difficult to get rid of this type of fungus and once you do the treatment, you might as well do it properly and avoid recurrence. You don't want to do this too often, do you?

NB! No antibiotics! They only encourage the proliferation of the candida fungus big time!

Wishing you the best of health! Can tea tree oil be used in the vagina For bacterial problems?
    Hello

There is no reason to fear Tea Tree Oil. It is a wonderful gift of nature and is used today by millions of people all over the world. No, do not use it on genitals without diluting significantly. I cup water - 2 drops tea tree for a wash. GSE also good though. Try both and see. Report Abuse

I would not put it there!
I would think it might burn. I wouldn't use it there. See a doctor or use an over the counter cream.
If you have a bacterial/odor problem it could be an infection and should be treated with antibiotics.
it will irritate it if not diluted,

I use 1 drop tea tree oil, 1 drop lavender oil, with 1 cup warm water, soak a tampon, and then use the remaining water to rinse lips, this will take the itch away from the yeast infection!

    Good luck!
tea tree oil is a topical antiseptic and should not be used internally or on the genitals.

if you have bacterial problems, you should see a dr. it could be hormone related
yes you can use tea tree oil in the vagina, I have and I know doctors that have recommend it. I am not sure about the other purfume you are talking about.

to answer your final question - tea tree oil is not available without a scent. The smell is the tea tree oil - thats how it smells on the tree, the smell is not added to the product in any way, that is the natural smell of the oil.

    Quote online medial journal:

    Medical use

    Candida / thrush

Tea Tree Oil is useful in treating thrush (Candida albicans) with an action comparable to anti-fungal medications. A few drops in warm water can be used in a douche. The Lancet has also reported a patient who recovered from severe thrush after treating herself with a douche with diluted Tea Tree Oil . A few drops in a gargle may also be used for oral thrush. A few drops may be added to baby's normal nappy change lotion for nappy rash.

For the record Doctors in Australia say to dilute it and soak a tampon and treat that way.
This is not expert advice, but ..http://www.diagnose-me.com/treat/T415052鈥?/a> This is a link about tea tree oil and infection and tells how to use it.. And I have heard before that raw garlic will heal some problems.. But.. You might not have anyone that wants to get close to you for awhile.... You could maybe maybe read about this on this link http://medherb.com/Therapeutics/Female_-鈥?/a> I have not tried this .. and do not know if it will help... maybe one or the other will.. You can also by some over the counter natural stuff that works pretty good.. I can't remember the name of it... Good luck : ) .. If all else fails call the Dr... if it is a yeast infection .. then they can give you one pill ( that is on the 4 $ list at Wal-mart ) and it works very quick... Sorry for your problem.. hope this helps... : )
You should buy an unscented version of it, swanson vitamins has one for like 5 dollars or less. Yesterday I was reading about tea tree oil for my skin and I read that you dilute the oil and place a few drops on a tampon to help.

I have a 1972 Jeep CJ5 with a 360 in it.

Whats wrong?
well, we dont know if you are getting the right reading. try changing the prussure switch if available. then check the guage.I have a 1972 Jeep CJ5 with a 360 in it. I have been having problems keeping my oil pressure up. Whats wrong?
replace the pressure switch can be a bad reading, if the problem continues you need an engine flush about $250 more or less can be a clog oil path in the block

make sure the oil filter is the manufacturer required

and if you try and still... next time don't rebuild, buy it brand NEW ! !
    1. Inaccurate oil sending unit. In this case, pressure is actually good but the sensor doesn't read correctly. Try connecting a mechanical gauge, and read actual pressure.

    2. Most likely - worn crankshaft and/or bearings cause increased gap and loss of pressure. In this case, overhaul is required before the engine is destroyed completely.
I have to go with the worn crankshaft. it could be the oil sending unit, but I had the same problem and I changed mine because someone on the net told me that was the problem, but it was bad advise. try putting one quart of the lucus oil (very thick, like syrup) in it or what you could do is replace the oil pump with a high volume oil pump and it would take up the slack of the worn bearings on the crankshaft. it's not hard, all you have to do is remove the oil pan and buy the replacement part and install it. the only problem I had was I had to hammer my oil pan just a little bit to make the new oil pump fit because the screen extended alittle longer than the origional. good luck!
Engine wear has made the clearances between the bearings too great. As the oil heats up the pressure drops because the oil can flow through the clearances between the main bearings and rod bearings too easily. Try increasing the viscosity of the oil. If you are using 10-30 go to straight 40. You may see some improvement. If not, tear down the bottom end and put new bearings in.
check the pressure with a manual oil pressure guage, and if it's still low,you might have not built the pump right. they all have clearences and some will have wear spots in the walls by the gears you can't see,or the clearence at the gear teeth too... and a check valve might be causing the problem.. just a grain of sand will cause the check valve to release pressure. and if you check all the items, mabye try a new pump, before you start looking for the brngs and rockers and things like that... and check for a bad gskt or warped connection,or o-ring at the suction tube.this tube will give you all kinda problems,or even a little hole in it... good luck..
if you dont already go here, you REALLY should

Has fish oil pills been known to cause constipation and digestive problems?

Oil just SLIDES on through.Has fish oil pills been known to cause constipation and digestive problems?
It won't cause constipation since it is an OIL. However, it can cause you to burp.Has fish oil pills been known to cause constipation and digestive problems?
That is not really a known side effect.
I've heard that flax seed oil is much better than fish oils... maybe trying something else might help...
No, the opposite is true. They can cause diarrhea in some people, definitely not constipation. You have something else going on. Probably not drinking enough water.
No it helps all of that
If the oil has spoiled, which can happen, it can cause digestive upset. I've not heard of it causing constipation though.

Fish oil is one of those ';you get what you pay for'; products. Inferior oils can often be tainted with a % of spoiled contaminant. You need to properly store quality oil and pay attention to the shelf-life.

On the plus side, the digestive upset from tainted oil goes away fairly quickly after you discontinue using it.
No - there is no way.

  • What economic problems can arise from an overdepencedce on oil in the developing world?

please help with that question! i need a little paragraph

thanks!!What economic problems can arise from an overdepencedce on oil in the developing world?
The word ';overdependence'; is tripping me up. What do you mean by that?

People make choices about what they will consume, including gas and oil. If they consume a lot and cannot quickly change their consumption if prices change suddenly or the supply dwindles, then they are dependent on oil, at least until they can switch to some other source of energy.

One question for two problems .How do you get out chili stains and cooking oil splatters from clothes?

I've tried bleach for the chili stains but they're still pretty visible. I haven't tried anything other than regualr laundering (which didn't work) for the vegetable oil stains. Can anyone give any suggestions that'll get these stains out completely? One question for two problems .How do you get out chili stains and cooking oil splatters from clothes?
The problems are related, and may be insoluble on some fabrics -- oils and oil-based stains like chili stains chemically bind to polyester and just don't come back out.

Otherwise, apply a few drops of shampoo ($1/bottle Suave works just fine) to the spots, rub it in lightly, let it set overnight and then wash in the hottest water the garment can stand with a good detergent used in the correct amount for the machine. Inspect after washing... if the chili stains aren't out, do not machine dry -- reapply shampoo and rewash. One question for two problems .How do you get out chili stains and cooking oil splatters from clothes?
The chili stains would be the hardest to get out. I would try Spray %26amp; Wash stick treatment. It seems to work better than the spray for some odd reason. If you have dried the stains in a dryer, then you probably won't be able to get them out. Now for the oil stains, I use regular Dawn dishwashing liquid. I apply it straight to the spot. It usually does a good job of removing grease.
Like the first respondent stated, Spray N Wash works great, but also dab a little Dawn on greasy areas, that really is the best way to remove grease stains.

Remember to rinse out as much of the Dawn before you throw in the washing machine! You don't want it to oversuds in your machine!
just wear napkins on your clothing befor you eat.

Why dosen't the government try to fix this problems like the water shotage the oil shortage and so on?

Isn't that y he is government to help us if not wat kind of government is that?People r dying because we r not taking action.Who agrees? Why dosen't the government try to fix this problems like the water shotage the oil shortage and so on?
How much do you really want the government up your butt? Americans are not dying because of these things.

Some areas of the world are just not fit for human habitation, but people are there, nonetheless. Do you want some government to just move them out en masse?

As for oil, if individual people are not willing the change their habits (outrageous energy consumption), what do you propose the government(s) do?

Many individuals refuse to do anything for themselves, depending on the government to cure each and every little problem.

I would rather take care of myself responsibly, and have less government intervention than more! Why dosen't the government try to fix this problems like the water shotage the oil shortage and so on?
We've planned and proposed new oil exploration and drilling for years and years now.

Every time a plan gets rolling, environmentalists sue or get liberal Congressmen to block it and nothing gets done.

The fact that oil is expensive is 100% due to our unwillingness to do what it takes to provide for our own needs.

Water shortages are a different matter. The government can't make it rain and fill up your local reservoir. Sorry.
You are exactly right but what would you expect in North America where both the President and the Prime Minister are oil men...in the 70s, Canada's prime minister, Pierre Trudeau, tried to nationalize the oil industry with the justification that if the oil industry was not under government control they would eventually destroy us...how prophetic...what happened?...a series of right wing governments took control and sold it back to private enterprise; hence, an oil producing nation like Canada has some of the highest fuel prices...1.20$ a litre...rough calculation 6$ per gallon...the government in turn profits in Canada because there is a sales tax on fuel..the shortage?..not the supply of oil but the lack of refineries which orchestrates a false supply and demand...who created this?..the private oil companies...no, it is not in governments best interest to control oil prices and one last thing, while most are worrying how to power their car, just wait because time is coming where food will be the crisis..and what are we doing, putting food in our gas tanks..so warmly accepted by the cretins in the governments...food is for people not for cars...so, will things get better...not a chance so suck up and watch the wallet empty as America drives SUV's to the grocery store..me?..I get 50 miles to the gallon in a 1999 VW...so I lose but very little...
The govt is controlled by the big corporations and special interests. It does its best to avoid telling Americans the truth. Most of our problems are caused by overpopulation due to uncontrolled immigration, both legal and illegal. Their would be no water shortage and the oil shortage would be much less of a problem without the massive immigration into the country over the last 40 years.

Also, the environmentalists have forbidden oil companies from drilling in Alaska and off most of the USA coastline. Overpopulation is the biggest threat to life on earth.

Honey when we look at the government we see all kinds of things that need to be fixed. In reality when you are walking in their shoes it isn't so easy. There is so much red tape to everything and of course no two people agree on how to fix a problem.
honestly there isnt a oil shortage the government just refuses to open up drill sites in other areas and stop some of this stress on americans and they dont consider the water shortage to be important bc it doesnt directly affect them even though its a major issue for many many people.
Because they are too busy fighting a war on nothing, and they also are busy debating race issues over the upcoming election to pay attention to the real problems.

No environmental ones whatsover. No offshore oil platform has leaked since 1963, including hundreds in the face of Hurricanes Katrina and Ike and others.

Only problem is irrational fear and groundless opposition.

The people of Santa Barbara, California, where there are several, have no problems with the offshore oil platforms, and many fishermen go close to the platforms as fish like to congregate around and beneath them. What are some problems with offshore oil drilling?
Contrary to what Mark specifies, there have been continuing and excessive leakage problems in Hibernia fields off NewFoundLand and right in the middle of the Grand Banks fisheries.

The Hibernia fields have not yet been hit by an iceberg, but it is a clear risk. Icebergs often float by within a couple km of the drilling platforms.

But the main risk is that we will use up all of our fossil fuels and be left with no final reserve when we are no longer able to use up all the fuel from other countries. We could put that down to an absolute certainty if we do not cut down on our rate of consumption.

The plan all along has been to exhaust all the reserves in other countries before we turn to draining our own last few barrels. That still looks like a good plan. But also, people who assume the price of fuel will go down as more reserves are tapped should note that as natural gas supplies are now almost adequate, most drilling has stopped, because the new gas comes at a higher cost. It is not economic to bring it to market if the price moves too low.

We will see our own industry deciding to defer drilling to ensure the price does not drop. What are some problems with offshore oil drilling?
Unexpected oil spills, endangering marine lives.
    Only ONE problem:

    DEMOCRATS.
