My car ran for about 30 miles without an oil cap? Are there problems?

I have a 91 Nissan Stanza and it was run for about 30 miles without an oil cap. Now its making a strange putt-putt sound.

The car already had a oil leak so I was checking the oil level constantly. I have put a new cap on.

So apart from debris getting into the engine is there anything I can do about the soundMy car ran for about 30 miles without an oil cap? Are there problems?
Try changing the PCV valve. My car ran for about 30 miles without an oil cap? Are there problems?
the only thing that should of happened is a lot of air blowby from the cams. So besides the bottem of your hood and engine getting oil all over, it should be fine. The air coming out would have also kept debris out. Unless you lost a significant amount of oil the engine should be fine.

The air blow by should make that sound, see if the new cap is sealing properly.
not likey anything happen with the cap off other than if it blew oil out on to your motor ,,,, has for trash getting in not likey any did and if any did get in not likey it was enough to hurt anything ,,,,, but as for the oil leak you do have would be more important to have that fix you should be worrying about that..... and the putt putt sound could be a bad plug ..... dont think its anything.....to lose the oil cap unless it leaks oil out
Does the oil cap have breather tube that goes to the air box?

(im sorry, im not familiar with the stanza setup)

If it does, check that its connected.
you have to get someone to check out your car. that does not sound to good and you could do a lot of damage if its not looked at.
