Do mitsubishi have (oil leakage problems) or in general oil problems) do they tend to smoke mainly a 02 galant?

Please be honest i am planning on getting a 2002 galant but my dad is very skeptical about buying me one. My mom had a eagle summit and it started smoking after 11 years but that's actually pretty good i think but in mitsubishi's defense she says they are good cars.Do mitsubishi have (oil leakage problems) or in general oil problems) do they tend to smoke mainly a 02 galant?
Mitsubishi's are notorious for burning and leaking oil. There engines are


quite a pain to pull out just to replace the front and rear main oil seals


and the valve seals wear out fast and that is what causes the oil burning. You would have to do a valve rebuild job on it and it would be good for another 30,000 miles or so. I have one and it is not a fun car to


work on. I would encourage you to look elsewhere for a more reputable


car and don't make the mistake I made.
