Can engine oil on the chassis (suspension) be harmful or cause damage/problems in the future?

I have a new car that is 3 months old and got an oil change about 2 weeks ago and noticed that the engine oil cap was never put back on so I have engine oil splatter all under my hood. I took it back to the dealer and they are replacing a hose that had oil on it and going to thoroughly clean under hood. They said that oil was also on the chassis for the suspension but that this is not harmful to the chassis or cause any problems down the line. Is this correct? Can engine oil on the chassis (suspension) be harmful or cause damage/problems in the future?
Don't worry about that, When they get through double check the engine compartment for ant excess oil they might have missed, What I would do is go by the car wash and clean the rest that they missed, Although its not harmful to the chassis in your mind Its a new car and needs to be that way for a whileCan engine oil on the chassis (suspension) be harmful or cause damage/problems in the future?
the oil wont damage the chassis but the oil will damage any suspension rubber bushes %26amp; hoses that has got oil on them. as the oil makes the rubber's go soft over time %26amp; deteriate coursing suspenion problem's. that includes engine mount's %26amp; such.
no it won't cause any problems. on the metal chasis, motor oil is made to be non-corrosive to metal (it has to be because it goes on the metal parts of your engine)

.
well if you need an extreme paranoid scenario here goes: the chemical properties in the oil will stripp the paint and over time expose the metal chassis to the humid air and thus rust the chassis and thus making it weaker then oneday the car will just fall apart on the freeway at 100 miles an hour.
Yes, they are correct.....
No it will not cause any damage It might even help to prevent rusting

some types of rubber can become soft an mussy

You have nothing to worry about
Thats correct.
