I have had a toothache for 4 days now, I am on antibiotics but someone told me to use clove oil to ease the pain. Now I have sore on the gums where I applied it. Anyone else experience this and how long does it take to go away? It's extremely painful!Problems from using clove oil?
Ask your dentist how long it should take, after you start the antibiotics, for the pain to stop.
In my experience, the pain from an infected/abscessed tooth, goes away within a few hours of starting the antibiotics. I can't believe that 4 days of continuing pain is ';normal';.
